PRETSPPD
Pre- and Post-processor for TS/PP-DRAFT Network Manipulation

PRETSPPD is the pre- and post-processor function of TEAPAC Complete to be used with the powerful time-space, platoon-progression-diagram program TS/PP-Draft, now known as TruTraffic.

TS/PP-Draft provides an elegant way of viewing a realistic time-space diagram or platoon-progression diagram which models the way traffic is likely to behave on one or more arterial street sections.  This view of an arterial section is much more realistic than the traditional band-width diagrams which frequently do not realistically model the effects of such things as side-street turns onto the arterial, platoon dispersion and platoon depletion on real arterial performance.  The resulting diagrams are displayed in color-enhanced windows which are easily printed on any monochrome or color printer supported by Windows.

Since TEAPAC seamlessly shares its data with all of the application and export functions of TEAPAC Complete, this means that users of TEAPAC and any of these third-party programs (PASSER-II, TRANSYT-7F, CORSIM and SYNCHRO/SIMTRAFFIC) can now have immediate access to TS/PP-DRAFT to realistically assess the performance of an arterial as a result of input to or results from all of these programs.

TS/PP-DRAFT also has the ability to easily change offsets in the displayed diagram by dragging the offset up or down in the actual window, with the effect on the time-space or platoon-progression diagram being immediately displayed.  In the event that it is desired to transfer these altered offsets to other programs such as TRANSYT or CORSIM for further evaluation, the adjusted offsets can be Imported back into TEAPAC and sent directly to any of the other programs mentioned above with only a couple of clicks of the mouse.

As a result, PRETSPPD fully-integrates the powerful and useful TS/PP-DRAFT program into the complete world of traffic operations software.
